We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Head to lead the manufacturing operations in our Forging Plant at Bhiwadi. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, strategic vision, and operational expertise in the automotive component manufacturing industry, specifically related to transmission gears, shafts, and other precision-engineered components. Candidates with proven Plant Head experience, exposure to TPM/TQM, and expertise in large-scale manufacturing environments will be preferred.Key Responsibilities1. Strategic LeadershipDevelop and implement the plant's strategic plan aligned with company business goals.Drive brownfield and greenfield expansion projects, ensuring timely execution and ROI.Lead the development and implementation of capital expenditure plans.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability.Identify new business opportunities and market trends.2. Manufacturing & Production ManagementOversee all manufacturing and production operations, especially transmission gears, shafts, and other specialized components.Expertly manage hot forging, cold forging, ring rolling, and part formers processes.Optimize production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.Implement robust production planning and control systems.Drive production improvements and best practices across all operations.Oversee New Product Development (NPD) initiatives in close coordination with R&D and customers.Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions as required.3. Quality ManagementEnsure adherence to stringent quality standards, especially for precision-engineered components.Drive a culture of quality throughout the plant.Address customer complaints and implement corrective actions.Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949).Champion TPM / TQM practices, particularly for forge shops.4. Maintenance & EngineeringOversee plant equipment and machinery maintenance, especially for gear and shaft manufacturing.Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.Manage engineering projects to ensure timely completion.Optimize the use of available technology to improve plant efficiency.5. Supply Chain ManagementManage procurement of raw materials, including specialized steel for gear and shaft manufacturing.Optimize inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials.Maintain strong supplier relationships.Oversee logistics and warehousing operations.6. EHS ManagementEnsure compliance with all EHS regulations and standards.Promote a safe and healthy work environment.Implement and maintain EHS management systems.Lead EHS-related audits and inspections.7. Human Resources ManagementLead, motivate, and develop a team of managers and employees.Act as an exceptional leader for TEI (Total Employee Involvement) and engagement programs.Implement talent management strategies and succession planning.Ensure effective communication across departments.Manage employee relations and resolve conflicts.8. Financial ManagementDevelop and manage the plant's budget.Monitor and control costs.Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership.Qualifications & ExperienceDiploma in Mechanical Engineering or BE (Mechanical).Minimum 20 years of experience in a senior manufacturing leadership role in the automotive component industry, specifically in transmission components.Proven success in managing large-scale manufacturing operations and driving continuous improvement.Strong knowledge of automotive component manufacturing processes, including hot/cold forging, ring rolling, part formers, and precision machining.Demonstrated expertise in NPD, TPM/TQM for forge shops, and production improvement initiatives.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong financial acumen with experience in ERP systems.Familiarity with Indian Labour Laws and EHS regulations.Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
