For more information, visit Lowes India -lowes.co.inThe Senior Analyst is an individual contributor to provide data-driven analytics support to the Cost Strategy team within the Merch FDS&A organization.Position Overview: The Senior Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing and optimizing product costs to unlock enterprise value. This high-visibility role partners directly with Merchandising, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain and Finance to produce actionable insights that inform strategic decisions on vendor performance, and product cost optimization Strategies.
  • Analyze product cost drivers & variance and translate findings into clear, prioritized actions.
  • Run scenarios & sensitivities to quantify trade-offs and risk.
  • Stand up automations (SQL/Python) for recurring reports, data quality checks, and benefit tracking to reduce cycle times and manual effort.
  • Build executive-ready insights that distill complex analyses into actionable insights for VP/C-suite decisions (e.g., Cost out strategies)
Key responsibilities include:Data Analysis & Insights: The Analyst leverages advanced analytics to analyze data, identify trends, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver actionable insights & recommendation to stakeholdersData Management: Gathering, wrangling, and preparing data, ensuring accuracy to enable meaningful analyses while ensuring adherence to analytical best practicesCollaboration & Leadership: Working with Analysts, Engineers, and Data Scientists to achieve function goals, driving continuous improvementSelf-Leadership: Operating effectively within a matrixed organization, demonstrating initiative, and delivering high-quality outcomes independently.This role requires expertise in retail analytics, advanced statistical techniques, and a proactive approach to developing insights that influence freight cost optimization strategies.Core Responsibilities:Technical Expertise: Hands-on application of advanced technical and analytical skills to deliver actionable insights & recommendations aligned with business strategy requirements.Continuous Learning: Expand knowledge of business solutions, tools, and frameworks; collaborate with peers to broaden skillsets.Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, best-practice analytical solutions.Stakeholder Engagement: Translate business needs into actionable analytical requirements and serve as a trusted partner for business stakeholders.Innovation & Advocacy: Promote future-proof practices and holistic solutions, adopt new tools and techniques, and identify opportunities for enhancing analytical solutionsData & Metrics: Ensure accurate data and metrics are established for reporting and decision-making.Years of Experience:2+ years' experience in analytical role along with proficiency in Sql & Excel/Power BI and Statistics.
