You’ll help design and deliver solutions that support Shell’s financial operations and strategic goals. You’ll be part of Shell’s IT Engineering team, which delivers business value through top-tier technical and consulting expertise. Here, you’ll work on impactful IT projects across the value chain, supported by structured career paths, continuous learning, and opportunities to grow both technically and professionally.What you’ll be doingWork on a portfolio of SAP Finance & Tax applications by gathering business requirements and delivering both large and small projects and enhancements in the Finance ERP portfolioWork closely with IT Managers and the Business to ensure that new requirements are understood and capturedDrive and participate in requirements gathering workshopsAssess and model business processes, data flows, and technology to understand the current value and issues, and identify opportunities for improvementTranslate business requirements into solutions and assess the risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impactsCreate clear documentation to communicate requirements and related information; keep updated to align with the solution over the project lifecycleEnsure traceability of requirements from business needs and requirements, through testing and scope changes, to final solutionInteract with software engineers, designers and developers to understand software limitations, deliver elements of system and database design, and ensure that business requirements and use cases are fully accommodatedCreate acceptance criteria for test scenarios and participate in the appropriate test cycles in order to validate that solutions meet business needsDefine and maintain standards, methodologies, tools and knowledge repositories along with contributing to functional excellence in terms of standards, methods and tools.Ensure lessons learned from market service implementations are identified, applied and acted uponDrive continuous improvement, life cycle/portfolio management, and stable operations in all IT applications that underpin business-critical processes with end-to-end ownership of the portfolio capabilityWhat you bring9+ years of hands-on project experience in SAP FI, Asset Accounting, and SAP S4 Central FinanceDeep expertise in core finance modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cost and Profit Centre Accounting, cross-company configuration and interfacesUnderstanding of inter-group billing processes, including resource-related billing and invoice list functionalitySolid grasp of financial processes especially period-end closing activitiesFamiliarity with SAP best practices and integration with modules like MM, SD, and PSKnowledge of IT project delivery methodologies, including Agile, and awareness of IT security and compliance standardsExcellent communication skills in English—both written and verbalStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentProven ability to engage and collaborate with senior stakeholdersCommitment to continuous improvement and delivering high-quality solutionsWhat we offerYou bring your skills and experience to Shell and in return you work with talented, committed people on one of the most important challenges facing our planet.
