- We are looking for a skilled Utility Estimation & Design Engineer (Assistant Manager) with 2–5 years of experience in cost estimation and tendering for Industrial Utility Systems such as Boilers, Chillers, Compressors, Water Systems, and HVAC Utility Integration.
- The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in BOQ preparation, vendor coordination, and compliance with GMP and ISO standards.
- This role involves close collaboration with design, project, and procurement teams to ensure accurate costing, value engineering, and cost optimization for utility projects in Pharma, Food, and Chemical industries.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs for utility systems such as Boilers, Chillers, Compressors, Cooling Towers, Water Treatment Plants, and Steam Piping.
Analyze tender documents, P&IDs, and layouts to derive precise costing.
Perform rate analysis for materials, fabrication, and subcontracting work.2. Design Review & Technical Analysis
Review utility designs, pipeline sizing, load calculations, and system capacities.
Support in value engineering and optimization of utility equipment selection.3. Vendor & Procurement Coordination
Coordinate with equipment suppliers (Boilers, Chillers, Compressors, RO/DM Plants).
Conduct techno-commercial evaluations and price negotiations.
Prepare vendor comparison sheets and cost justification reports.4. Tendering & Client Coordination
Prepare techno-commercial proposals, bid documents, and tender clarifications.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and client discussions.
Support sales/proposal teams with accurate cost data and technical inputs.5. Cost Control & Project Budgeting
Track cost variations and support management in budgeting decisions.
Generate MIS reports, project cost tracking summaries, and estimation audits.6. Team Coordination & Documentation
Collaborate with design, project, and procurement teams to ensure estimation accuracy.
Maintain proper documentation and records for future project references.🎓 Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in Utility Estimation / Costing.
- Strong understanding of Industrial Utilities (Steam, Chilled Water, Compressed Air, WTP/ETP).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and Estimation Software.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
