Process Engineer – Proposals & Cost Estimation

• 5–7 years of experience in process equipment design, application engineering, or proposals — ideally in evaporation, distillation, vacuum, or heat transfer equipment
• Strong fundamentals in heat and mass transfer, fluid mechanics, and material selection (SS 304/316, Hastelloy, titanium, etc.)
• Proficiency in Excel-based cost modelling; familiarity with process simulation tools (Aspen, HTRI) is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, GA drawings, and process data sheets
• Clear technical writing and communication skills in English

• Review customer enquiries and process data sheets, clarify technical requirements with clients and internal teams
• Size and select equipment based on process parameters (flow rates, temperatures, pressures, viscosities, heat duties)
• Prepare detailed cost estimates using parametric models, vendor quotes, and historical pricing data
• Draft and compile technical-commercial proposals including GA drawing references, material specifications, P&IDs, and delivery/payment terms
• Coordinate with design, manufacturing, and procurement to validate feasibility, lead times, and costs
• Maintain and continuously improve the proposal database and cost estimation tools (Excel-based configurators)
• Support BD and sales teams with techno-commercial inputs during customer discussions and negotiations
• Track win/loss data and refine pricing strategy based on market feedback and competitive intelligence

• B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• Prior experience at an OEM or EPC contractor supplying to pharmaceutical or chemical industries
• Exposure to ASME, TEMA, or IS standards for pressure vessels and heat exchangers
• Working knowledge of HubSpot or any CRM for proposal tracking and pipeline management
• Experience preparing techno-commercial bids for international customers (MENA,Europe)
