Job Title: Area Sales Manager - General Trade (GT)Brand: Wobble SmartphonesCompany: Indkal TechnologiesLocation: Assigned Territory / Area - IndiaRole Overview :- Wobble Smartphones, launched by Indkal Technologies, is in a rapid expansion phase within the Indian smartphone market. The Area Sales Manager (ASM) - General Trade will be responsible for driving sales, expanding the distributor network, and strengthening retail presence within the assigned territory.- As the mobile business is still in its early growth stage, the ASM will play a crucial role in building strong retail coverage, improving sell-through, and developing the GT channel ecosystem. This role requires a highly execution-driven sales professional with strong experience in mobile handset or consumer electronics distribution.Key Responsibilities :1. Area Sales Execution :- Drive primary and secondary sales targets for Wobble smartphones within the assigned territory.- Implement regional sales strategies defined by the Regional Sales Manager.- Identify opportunities to increase market penetration in key retail clusters.2. Distributor & Channel Management :- Manage and strengthen relationships with appointed distributors and sub-distributors.- Ensure optimal inventory levels, stock rotation, and timely replenishment.- Monitor distributor performance and support them in achieving secondary sales growth.- Maintain strong engagement with mobile dealers and GT retail partners.3. Retail Expansion & Market Coverage :- Increase retail outlet coverage across independent mobile retailers and multi-brand outlets.- Ensure effective beat planning and territory coverage by field teams.- Drive in-store branding, product visibility, and merchandising standards.- Execute trade schemes, retailer incentive programs, and channel promotions.4. Team Management & Field Execution- Lead and manage Territory Sales Managers and Sales Officers in the assigned area.- Conduct regular field visits, joint market working, and retail audits.- Ensure strong sales discipline, reporting accuracy, and market feedback collection.- Provide guidance and support to improve team productivity and retailer relationships.5. Market Intelligence :- Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and promotional schemes in the region.- Share insights with the RSM to support sales planning and product strategies.- Track customer preferences and retail feedback to improve product positioning.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :1.
