Department DetailsRole SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with 8-16 years of hands-on expertise in peptide purification to lead and manage a purification team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purification techniques (such as RP-HPLC, ion-exchange, size exclusion, etc.), coupled with proven capabilities in team leadership, experiment planning, data analysis, mentoring, trouble shooting, scale-up and cost improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day operations in the peptide purification lab, ensuring timely execution of purification workflows from milligram to gram scale.Design and optimize purification protocols based on project requirements and analytical data.Supervise and mentor a team of 4-5 purification scientists/technicians, assigning tasks, troubleshooting processes, and ensuring skill development.Analyze experimental data (chromatographic profiles, purity, yield) and generate technical reports for internal teams or external clients.Collaborate with upstream synthesis and downstream analytical teams to ensure seamless project execution.Plan and schedule purification experiments in line with project timelines and quality standards.Manage laboratory budgeting and costing for purification activities, including resource allocation, consumables, and equipment usage.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain compliance with quality and safety standards.Master's or PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.In-depth knowledge of peptide chemistry and purification methods.Strong analytical thinking and data interpretation skills.Proven leadership and team management experience.Familiarity with GMP, GLP, and regulatory standards is a plus.Educational QualificationsRequired Education Qualification: M.Tech Required Experience: 8 - 16 years
