- Support the Procurement Manager in day-to-day procurement and sourcing activities.
- Assist in supplier identification, evaluation, and onboarding across South Asia and global markets.
- Execute and support the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process, including:
- Preparing RFQs based on product specifications and business requirements
- Sending RFQs to suppliers and ensuring timely responses and follow-ups
- Compiling supplier quotations and preparing comparison sheets
- Supporting detailed cost breakdown analysis and data validation
- Prepare and maintain landed cost structures, including product cost, freight, duties, tariffs, and other associated costs components.
- Conduct cost analysis and pricing evaluation to support procurement decision-making and margin planning.
- Support the development of pricing inputs and cost models for bid proposals (final pricing ownership remains with the Manager).
- Maintain procurement data within ERP systems and internal tools.
- Track purchase orders and ensure timely follow-ups with suppliers.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of product specifications, RFQ documentation, and procurement data.
- Generate reports and insights to support cost optimization and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred, preferably in Supply Chain, Operations, International Business, or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in procurement or sourcing functions.
- Mandatory experience supporting importer-focused companies (India-based or global) operating in import-driven business models.
- Proven experience working within an international procurement environment.
- Experience supporting foreign-based importer companies is preferred.
- Hands-on experience working with suppliers across South Asia and other global sourcing regions.
- Practical experience in RFQ preparation, issuance, and quotation analysis.
- Proven experience working in environments involving international trade and import cost structures, including:
- Customs duties and tariffs
- Freight and logistics cost components
- Incoterms and related cost implications
- Strong ability to understand and incorporate landed cost components into cost analysis and pricing support (coordination with logistics providers is not a primary responsibility).
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement tools.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and modeling.
- Proven ability to prepare and analyze landed costs structures with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical mindset with focus on data accuracy and structured evaluation.
- Primary focus on execution, analysis, RFQ support, and supplier onboarding.
- Supports pricing and cost analysis, but does not own supplier negotiations or final commercial decisions.
- Works closely with the Procurement Manager to enable data-driven procurement outcomes.
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
- High level of ownership and execution focus.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global sourcing environment.
