- Assume full ownership and accountability for the strategic architectural design, robust development, and comprehensive governance of enterprise-level Fabric (Power BI) solutions, ensuring seamless alignment with overall BI strategy and critical business objectives.
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of complex Power BI data models, leveraging advanced DAX and Power Query techniques to ensure scalability, performance, and data integrity.
- Serve as the principal authority and subject matter expert for Power BI architecture and data modeling, establishing and enforcing best practices for data structure, security, deployment, and lifecycle management within the Power BI ecosystem.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to meticulously understand data requirements, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and architect underlying data structures that enable accurate and insightful reporting.
- Drive the adoption of cutting-edge features and capabilities within Power BI, continuously evaluating industry trends and Microsoft updates to proactively enhance our BI architecture and data modeling capabilities.
- Architect and implement comprehensive strategies for Power BI performance optimization, including advanced query tuning, efficient data source connectivity, incremental refresh mechanisms, and proactive monitoring to ensure optimal responsiveness and user experience.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key business stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor to translate complex business needs into robust technical specifications and architectural blueprints for Power BI solutions.
- Oversee Power BI administration, including capacity planning, workspace architecture, data gateway configuration, and the implementation of sophisticated security roles to ensure a secure, scalable, and well-governed BI environment.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to BI developers and analysts on data modeling, architectural patterns, and performance tuning, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in Business Intelligence, with at least 5 years specifically focused on architecting, advanced data modeling, and performance optimization within Microsoft Power BI in complex enterprise environments.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to articulate and advocate complex technical architecture and data modeling strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Expert-level understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and advanced data modeling principles (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema, slowly changing dimensions).
- Deep expertise and hands-on proficiency in Power BI Desktop, with a strong emphasis on advanced DAX for complex calculations and performance tuning, Power Query/M for robust data transformations, and Power BI Service for architectural governance.
- Extensive experience with SQL for complex data extraction, transformation, and optimization, coupled with practical experience in cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Snowflake).
- Demonstrated experience in Power BI administration, including capacity planning, workspace architecture, data gateway management, and the design and implementation of intricate security models.
- A strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and a profound passion for designing scalable, high-performance BI architectures that translate raw data into strategic business insights.
- Fluency in English is required
