Shift Manager - Operations

• A Shift Manager for a Data Center plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and management of the data centre during their assigned shift.
• Overseeing the daily operations of the data centre during the assigned shift, ensuring all systems are functioning optimally.
• Managing a team of technicians and engineers, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Monitoring Electromechanical system performance, identifying and resolving any issues that arise.
• Coordinating with other shift managers to ensure seamless transitions between shifts and consistent operations.
• Implementing and enforcing data centre policies and procedures to maintain security and efficiency.
• Follow all Safety and Compliance guidelines for any Maintenance Work / Breakdown work
• Approving material movement requests raised by vendors, and customers.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols, including physical security measures.
• Responding to emergencies and incidents, taking appropriate actions to mitigate impact and restore normal operations
• Maintaining accurate records of all activities and incidents during the shift, preparing reports for management review
• Will take initiative to ensure that quality and efficiency standards are raised for all the equipment in the datacentre.
• Act as the first escalation point for any operational or facility-related issues during the shift

• Diploma / Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical / Mechanical /Industrial Stream with minimum
• 5-7 years of Operation experience
• Strong understanding of data center operations, including network and system management.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with data centre monitoring tools and software.
• Knowledge of safety and security protocols for data centres.
