- There is a marked increase in velocity of clients across sectors looking to set up a GCC or capability hub in India. They are looking for a trusted partner who could help with end to end set up of their capability - people, skills, facility, legal entity, leadership team, IT and related ancillary services.
- GDS is looking to build a dedicated capability offering around Strategic Sourcing of large deals around - GCC set up support, Build Operate Transfer (BOT), TPP (Tech Preferred Provider) deals.
- There is a $1B+ market opportunity as FS clients look to build capability centers offshore. The Strategic Sourcing Lead will have to interface with C-suite clients and take ownership of GCC pursuits and also lead end-to-end delivery out of GDS working alongside member firms.
- Strategic Sourcing Lead will help grow the GCC business and ensure all commitments made during the pursuits are delivered
- Role can be viewed in 3 major areas
- Pursuit Leadership for large deals
- Develop well thought out proposal addressing all client & RFP needs
- Work with multiple EY entities to anchor the pursuit through the entire deal lifecycle from solution shaping to client presentations and client visits to eventually contracting / SOW.
- Host client CXOs and leadership visits.
- Develop plan for Discovery & Design phase
- Lead the delivery for Discovery & Design phase of GCC setup
- Work with respective SMR teams for various GCC setup activities (Facilities, legal, finance, HR, IT, Cyber etc)
- Program governance and client leadership interface
- Build a team and mentor Managers, Senior Managers to develop GCC CoE
- Create reusable artifacts & develop repositories of baseline content to be leveraged for standardized delivery
- Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Very good understanding of entire GCC lifecycle and all GCC models : Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) / Assisted-Build-Out (ABO) etc
- Preferably SMR in any one area of GCC setup (Legal / Tax / Finance / Enablement Functions / Operations & Admin etc)
- Experience in developing solutions for large GCC deals across entire GCC lifecycle
- Experience in delivery of GCC programs - preferably entire lifecycle
- Experience across Delivery / solutions / pre-sales
- 10+ years in managing, building, and delivering programs preferably for Financial Services clientele.
- Proven track record in program governance of large multiyear programs
- Experience & expertise in at least 1 area NOT related to GCC such as Managed Services or Digital Transformation or Application Development or technologies like D&A and Cloud.
- Must have the ability to engage with CXOs, lead large pursuits and take end to end ownership of deal making
- Experience with agile, globally distributed teaming models
- Strong communication skills and able to successfully articulate technology concepts to both business and technology audience
- Proven ability to nurture and build teams across clients and sustain teams for longer period
- Experience in reviewing decisions and articulate pros/cons of technology options based on personal experience, industry knowledge, and best practices.
- Highly motivated, self-starter professional with the ability to lead large transformations across client organizations
- The person will also work collaboratively with FS sector leaders and across clients
- Base location will be Hyderabad, India - mandatory requirement
- This job will require frequent travel.
