Experience: 3–6 years in supply chain finance / procurement governance / cost control for warehousing or e-commerceAbout the RoleThe Assistant Manager – Cost & Procurement Governance will anchor financial discipline and capital governance across the pan-India network of Distribution Centers (DCs), Fulfillment Centers (FCs), and Dark Stores.This role will own end-to-end CAPEX tracking, budget governance, procurement process coordination, asset capitalization tracking, and financial reporting for all infrastructure, automation, and technology initiatives across nodes.By combining structured financial control with cross-functional coordination, you will ensure capital deployment is controlled, compliant, and aligned to approved business cases — enabling scalable and sustainable network expansion.Note: Commercial negotiations and rate finalization are managed by Central Procurement and are outside the scope of this role.Key Responsibilities:1) CAPEX Planning & Governance:- Support annual CAPEX planning across DCs, FCs, and Dark Stores.- Maintain centralized CAPEX tracker (project-wise, node-wise, network-level).- Monitor Budget vs. Actual (BvA) and committed vs. invoiced spends.- Track cost burn rate across projects and flag deviations proactively.- Drive financial visibility across ongoing and upcoming expansion projects.- Ensure alignment with approved Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA).2) Procurement Process Coordination (Non-Negotiation Scope):- Coordinate PR-to-PO process with Central Procurement.- Validate budget approvals prior to PO issuance.- Track PO release timelines and milestone-based billing.- Ensure invoice validation, GRN alignment, and documentation accuracy.- Maintain audit-ready procurement documentation repository.3) Project Cost Monitoring & Control:- Track capital spends across automation, MHE, racking, civil works, CCTV, security systems, and tech integrations.- Ensure cost tagging to correct cost centers and asset classes.- Highlight cost overruns and support corrective action planning.- Monitor committed liability exposure and future payment obligations.4) Asset Capitalization & Financial Compliance:- Coordinate with Finance for asset capitalization and asset master updates.- Track capitalization timelines and depreciation start dates.- Ensure documentation compliance for statutory and internal audits.- Maintain network-level asset governance tracker.5) Data, Analytics & Reporting:- Develop dashboards for CAPEX tracking and capital efficiency metrics.- Track capital productivity indicators (₹ per sq. ft., ₹ per pallet position, ₹ per throughput unit).- Present monthly financial governance reports to leadership.- Support expansion feasibility analysis with structured cost inputs.Success Metrics:- CAPEX budget adherence %- Budget forecasting accuracy- Variance reduction across projects- On-time PR/PO coordination %- Invoice validation accuracy %- Asset capitalization compliance %- Zero major audit observations- Reporting timeliness adherenceQualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Finance / Supply Chain / Operations- 2-4 years of experience in cost control, procurement governance, or supply chain finance- Experience in multi-site warehousing or e-commerce environment preferred- Strong understanding of CAPEX vs OPEX classification- Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / similar)- Advanced Excel / financial dashboarding capabilityWhat We Offer:- Exposure to network-level capital governance across pan-India operations- Ownership of high-impact automation and expansion financial tracking- Career growth across Operations Excellence, Strategy, and Finance leadership tracks- Opportunity to build structured capital governance frameworks in a scaling e-commerce environment
