Job descriptionJob Title: Assistant Manager - Engineering Location: Bhiwandi/ Mumbai Reportsto: Plant Head - Engineering & Facilities. The Whole Truth Foods Purpose To ensure all production and packaging machinery runssmoothly through strong preventive maintenance systems, timely breakdown response, and data-driven improvement. Thisrole will be the plant's go-to person forreliability, efficiency, and technical problem-solving, enabling seamless production and high equipment uptime. Key Responsibilities O☼◦ Maintenance & Reliability • Execute and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance for all production and utility equipment (extruders, blenders, cooling tunnels, packing lines, etc.). • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and automation issues to minimize downtime. • Maintain and update the maintenance tracker / CMMS, ensuring accuracy and timely PM completion. • Conduct Root Cause Analysis(RCA) for breakdowns and implement permanent corrective actions. Projects & Technical Support • Support the Plant Head in installation and commissioning of new machines and line modifications. • Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for AMC visits,spare part planning, and technical audits. • Drive energy efficiency, cost optimization, and process improvement initiatives. †5-_ Compliance & Safety • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety, GMP, and statutory standards. • Maintain strong compliance with ISO, GMP, and FSSAI audit requirements. +Team Development • Lead and train techniciansto build in-house capability and adherence to SOPs. • Foster a culture of ownership, continuouslearning, and proactive problem-solving. Qualifications & Experience • Education: B.E./ Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering • Experience: 5-8 yearsin engineering/maintenance within FMCG or food manufacturing environments • Strong understanding of PLC-based systems, utilities, and automation • Exposure to ISO, GMP, and FSSAI audit practices What Success Looks Like • ⬛ 95% uptime on key production equipment • ⬛ Zero repeat breakdowns • ⬛ Preventive maintenance adherence
