Job Description:Job Title: Business Functional AnalystLocation: Pune, IndiaCorporate Title: VPRole DescriptionThis role is Functional Analyst responsible for Architecting and Design software applications. The candidate is expected to work closely with Team Leads or Software Development Managers and other key stake holders to ensure good quality, maintainable, scalable and high performing software applications are delivered to users. He/she should be coming from a strong technological background. Should be hands on and be able to work independently requiring minimal technical/tool guidance. Should be able to technically guide and mentor junior resources in the team. Work closely with team members and vendor team to design and develop software. Your key responsibilities
  • Hands-on software development
  • Should have strong experience in Banking domain especially Structuring business
  • Should have experience in Feesbased domain such as M&A, Bod Issuance etc
  • Knowledge of solution design
  • Experience in Agile and Scrum delivery
  • Should be able to contribute towards good software design
  • Strong communication with stakeholders
  • Analyse software defects and fix them in timely manner
  • Work closely with Development and Quality Assurance teams
Your skills and experience
  • Role will be responsible to gather requirements, analyse the requirement and prepare functional technical design document and work closely with development team to build critical components and ensuring that their implementation aligns with our end state architecture. This person will also be responsible to make sure development team to align with business needs and as well as delivering Quality software. This is a hands-on role and will require experience in test driven development.
  • Professional Requirements:
Must Have
  • Understanding of Baning domain especially FO business
  • Understanding of securities and derivatives trade lifecycle/payments is a plus
  • Familiarity with restructuring products
  • Should have lead the project implementations
  • Should have handled projects independently
  • Strong demonstratable experience of working with the business
Nice to Have
  • Experience in developing distributed, high-throughput, highly available scalable systems
  • Experience gathering basic performance measures of applications
  • Ability to align functional solution to the target architecture
  • Ability to focus and prioritize in a high-pressure environment
  • Extensive experience of formal business & functional process analysis
  • Embraces using unit/integration testing as a standard development practice
  • Experience in agile software development & Test Automation
  • Strong people skills and Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Be self-directed, pro-active, results-driven and able to work in a diverse global team
Education/ Qualifications
  • Degree in Finance, Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent computer degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent diploma/work experience)
