Job Title: SAP EDI Integration Analyst – Automotive Focus
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP EDI Integration Analyst with deep expertise in automotive EDI message standards, SAP IDoc architecture, and partner onboarding. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless electronic data exchange between SAP systems and external trading partners, including customers, suppliers, and VANs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with EDI message mapping, IDoc configuration, and integration tools within the SAP ecosystem.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the integration of automotive EDI messages (e.g., DELJIT, DESADV, INVOIC, Self-Billing Invoice, 830, 856, 862, 4913, 4915, 4905, etc.) with SAP IDocs.
- Configure and maintain partner profiles, OVAI, OVA9, ports, and message types in SAP (WE20, WE21,WE19).
- Design and implement EDI-to-IDoc mappings and transformations using tools like SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, or IBM Sterling Integrator.
- Manage end-to-end onboarding of customers and suppliers, including requirement gathering, testing, and go-live support.
- Collaborate with VAN providers to ensure reliable and secure data transmission (AS2, SFTP, FTP).
- Monitor and troubleshoot IDoc processing errors, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business disruption.
- Ensure compliance with industry-specific EDI standards such as VDA, ODETTE, EDIFACT, and ANSI X12.
- Maintain detailed documentation of EDI processes, mappings, and partner configurations.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on EDI processes and tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with EDI and SAP IDoc configuration.
- Strong knowledge of automotive EDI standards and message types.
- Proficient in providing EDI mapping and transformation for EDI implementation using tools like Sterling Integrator, SAP PI/PO, or SAP CPI.
- Experience working with VANs and understanding of communication protocols (AS2, FTP, SFTP).
- Familiarity with SAP modules such as SD, MM, and FI.
- Understanding of data formats (XML, flat files) and network protocols.
- Should have sound knowledge on SAP standard report to IDOC monitor for incoming Forecast / JIT Delivery Schedules.
- Programming or scripting knowledge (ABAP, Java, Python) is a plus.
