- Supervise all on-site activities for solar PV installations ground mounted utility scale from 1-100+ MW, including foundation work, module erection, inverter installation, and cabling up to commissioning.
- Lead and manage site teams 20-200 personnel depends upon the size of the project, including EPC Contractor engineers, technicians, and labourers, ensuring optimal resource utilization, shift scheduling, and subcontractor performance.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols, conducting daily toolbox talks, risk assessments, and compliance with Factories Act, 1948, and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 standards.
- Monitor construction progress against milestones using tools like MS Project or site-specific apps, reporting deviations and implementing corrective actions for delays or quality issues.
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment mobilization (e.g., cranes, piling rigs), and logistics to minimize downtime, while adhering IS and BIS certifications for components.
- Conduct quality inspections at key stages (e.g., pile testing, string testing, SCADA integration) and ensure documentation for CEA approvals and net metering handovers.
- Liaise with local authorities, landowners, and DISCOMs for site access, permissions, and issue resolution (e.g., labour disputes or weather-related halts).
- Promote sustainability practices, such as waste minimization and water conservation, aligning with India's ESG reporting.
- Maintain site records, including daily logs, inventory, and incident reports, and contribute to post-project reviews for process improvements.
- Keeping records of all Statutory compliances hard copies and timely sending to HO for preservation of records as per guidance of Ho or consultant.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- 12-15 years of hands-on experience in solar PV or renewable energy construction sites, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role in India (EPC firm experience preferred).
- Proven ability to manage sites delivering 100+ MW projects, with familiarity in Indian terrain challenges (e.g., desert sands in Rajasthan or monsoons in coastal areas).
- Technical Skills: Expertise in civil/electrical works for renewables; proficiency in reading blueprints, using surveying tools (e.g., total stations), and basic solar troubleshooting.
- Management Skills: Strong leadership in multicultural teams; budgeting for site expenses and inventory control via required tools provided by the Company.
- Soft Skills: Problem-solving under pressure; effective communication in English and Hindi/regional languages for site coordination.
