Administer, monitor, and maintain SQL Server databases (on-prem and cloud-based)
Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
Configure and maintain AlwaysOn Availability Groups for high availability and disaster recovery
Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and index management
Manage database security, including role-based access control and auditing
Apply patches, upgrades, and support version migrations (e.g., SQL Server 2008 to 2019+)
Automate routine tasks using T-SQL, PowerShell, or other scripting tools
Collaborate with application developers and infrastructure teams to support deployments and troubleshoot issues
Document database environments, configurations, and procedures
Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24/7 support as needed
Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in enterprise environments
Hands-on experience with AlwaysOn Availability Groups, replication, mirroring, and clustering
Familiarity with Azure SQL (IaaS and PaaS), Azure Migrate, and Data Migration Assistant
Solid understanding of database security, encryption (e.g., TDE), and compliance standards
Proficiency in T-SQL, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and SQL Server Agent
Proven excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
