As a Technical Expert in Protection & Control Engineering, you will be accountable for advanced engineering activities concerning relay protection and control design for high voltage substations and transmission projects. Leveraging your deep expertise, you will directly oversee and guide complex protective relaying and control systems projects. oriented: Oversee and provide expertise in the analysis and design of single line diagrams. Lead the development of substation relaying & metering diagrams (i.e., A.C. schematic diagrams), and D.C. Schematics for advanced design. Compile specifications & Bill of Material for Protection/Control/Metering/RTU/ Communication Panels. Conceptualize and develop advanced substation control system and Communication interfaces including RTUs, HMIs, and IEDs. Design sophisticated Protection and Control Panel layouts. Create high-level Cable Schedules for Substations. Conduct Factory Acceptance Test for Protection and Control Panels. Collaborate closely with other senior engineering and design team members to coordinate overall design and requirements during execution and commissioning phases. Translate and drive customer requirements into Siemens solutions. Review and approve all technical deliverables, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards. Identify and support training needs on subject matter for the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. We don't need superheroes, just super minds: A bachelor's degree or equivalent with a background in Electrical Engineering, a master's degree is preferred. . 15+ years of experience with a focus on protection/control/communications design for substations. . Proven track record in writing and overseeing support documentation for relay calculations. . Expertise in ANSI standards, IEC standards knowledge is a definite advantage. . Expertise with various vendor protective relay equipment typically used in substation protection, including SEL, Siemens, GE. . Expertise in Configuration Tools for protection relays from different vendors (SEL, Siemens, Hitachi, GE, Schneider, etc.) and control systems. . Expertise with Ebase and Auto-CAD. . Deep hands-on experience with the following is preferred: . DIGSI-4 & DIGSI-5 . Relay Configuration tool of GE, ABB or equivalent. . Extensive experience working with System Integrators. . In-depth experience and knowledge in working with different relay applications. Soft Skills . Exceptional Communication (Both written & verbal) & Interpersonal Skills. . Advanced critical thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. . Avid learner with the ability to quickly grasp new areas. . Proven success in working in Team environments, Demonstrated ability in leading multiple stakeholder interactions. Leadership skills to guide and mentor the team.
