- Send professional, periodic reminders and follow‑ups on overdue client invoices; escalate when needed.
- Oversee marketplace (E‑Commerce) collections, prepare trackers and pendency reports (RTV, refunds, client payments).
- Ensure all sales, receipts, and adjustments are posted accurately and promptly in the accounting system.
- Update AR dashboards and reports after bank remittances, flagging pending amounts for escalation.
- Collaborate with Manager to produce monthly/quarterly revenue and cash flow reports, including performance analysis.
- Lead the monthly reconciliation of AR sub-ledgers, general ledger AR control accounts, and customer statements.
- Resolve invoice disputes and discrepancies via cross‑team coordination (sales, billing, customer support).
- Identify AR process inefficiencies and drive improvements (e.g. automation in Excel, ERP usage).
- Support audit activities by preparing working papers and responding to queries on AR balances.
- Mentor junior AR staff—training, supervising, reviewing work—and ensure adherence to SOPs and compliance.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in accounts receivable or collections, including retail and E‑Commerce exposure.
- Education: Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or equivalent.
- Technical: Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, V‑lookups, macros); experience with ERP platforms and AR modules.
- Domain Knowledge: Understanding of retail operations, order-to-cash lifecycle, marketplace seller settlement cycles, and RTV/refund flows.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume AR portfolios with retail and e‑commerce exposure.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, with the ability to interpret AR trends and suggest improvements.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with both internal teams and clients.
- Well-organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable managing competing priorities.
- Proactive, process-focused, with experience in SOP documentation, coaching junior staff.
- Resilient, accountable, and accurate under pressure—consistent in meeting SLAs.
