- Foster an outcome-oriented environment that ensures effective India MLE outputs that help program teams reach their goals;
- Develop and manage a team of accomplished professionals to effectively carry out the team’s assigned responsibilities across programs, ensuring the consistent and timely delivery of services;
- Oversee the development and maintenance of annual work plans and budgets for the India MLE team in collaboration with Global and Indian Program and MLE teams.
- Oversee the high-quality implementation of MLE activities in India, including data collection, management, and analysis
- Ensure relevant team members and partners have access to useful and accurate data for ongoing program and performance management, assessment, and reporting to donors and governments;
- Set and maintain quality standards for data collection, management, and analysis in line with global Evidence Action guidance and international best practices;
- Support program goals on institutionalization of the deworming program and partnership with governments at state and national levels through effective information and data sharing and technical expertise;
- Support the planning and design of worm prevalence surveys and lead the implementation of the surveys in close collaboration with the Deworm the World Global and Indian Program teams;
- Support India program outreach and learning efforts by prioritizing and tracking critical information management. This primarily involves the preparation and delivery of materials on program outreach efforts, including information on STH prevalence, monitoring and evaluation data on deworming and other school health programs and related areas as appropriate;
- Coordinate inputs for reports to donors and Governments, including data, cost estimations and others.
- Coordinate with global Evidence Action MLE Strategy and program teams to implement MLE strategies in a manner that is consistent and aligned with global and cross-country priorities and quality expectations;
- Enable the country program to use data and evidence/information for strategic engagement with policymakers in the governments and donors, including collaboration with the global team;
- Promote the synthesis and sharing of data across programs, with states and national governments, and donors;
- Collaborate with the global Evidence Action MLE team to design operational research in India and lead the implementation of operational research activities with operational research plans;
- Coach the MLE team members to quality input, supervision and support for enhanced team performance;
- With global and program team members, support additional research activities as identified.
- Doctoral / Master’s degree in a relevant field with economics, statistics, or quantitative training;
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale data collection activities, in India and Evidence Action states;
- Demonstrated experience managing and analyzing large datasets and experience designing and managing databases;
- Knowledge of STATA (preferred) or other advanced statistical analysis software;
- Naturally inquisitive, skeptical, and organized;
- Experience in India and experience managing a large cross-cultural team;
- A critical, analytical, and process-oriented thinker with a willingness to form and adjust opinions based on evidence;
- Experience in consulting or other client-based and service-oriented roles;
- Experience operating effectively in adynamic leadership team.
