- Ensure adherence to Weatherford's Quality Assurance policies and Quality Management System (QMS).
- Develop, maintain, and standardize QA documentation, including quality plans, inspection protocols, sampling plans, and work instructions.
- Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with ISO 9001 standards and other regulatory or customer-specific requirements.
- Interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and customer documentation to validate quality requirements.
- Maintain thorough documentation of inspections, test reports, audit findings, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Analyze quality performance data using tools such as SPC, Pareto charts, and control charts to identify trends and root causes of issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on reducing variability, eliminating defects, and improving first-pass yield.
- Support implementation of Quality Improvement Plans and Cost of Quality (COQ) reduction efforts.
- Promote best practices and standardized processes across departments to ensure consistent product and process quality.
- Lead or support the investigation and resolution of non-conformances, customer complaints, and audit findings.
- Track, trend, and report non-conformance data; implement CAPA strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to develop effective containment, corrective, and preventive actions.
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Repair & Maintenance (R&M), and Supply Chain teams to ensure quality objectives are met.
- Provide QA support for new product introductions, process changes, and supplier quality issues.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and customers on QA topics, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives.
- Participate in quality risk assessments and FMEAs to anticipate and mitigate risks to product quality and safety.
- Exercise Stop Work Authority in the event of safety concerns or critical quality non-conformances.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical), Quality Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Solid knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis).
- Experience with quality metrics, statistical analysis, and process capability assessments.
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with quality management software (e.g., SAP, TrackWise, or similar) is an asset.
- Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt are a plus.
