Must have a balanced mix of comprehensive technical and business skills.
Proven working experience in designing large distributed, secure and scalable architecture solutions.
Knowledge of architecture best practices and design patterns. These include:

Microservices architectures in IoT and mobile connectivity domains
API definition (e.g. RESTful, Open API)
Security by design
Scalable solutions with multi region setup
Cloud based architectures

Proven experience of conducting technical workshop, presenting technical solutions, preparing architecture guidelines and technical strategy documents.
Familiar with design and development tools, and capable of suggesting new tools/process (e.g. PlantUML, Swagger)
Passionate about simple and clean SW architectures
Should have a very good analytical, consultative and problem-solving mind-set, and an influential personality capable of quickly building rapport and credibility with teams.
Excellent communication skills (in an international distributed team)

Background in software development
Capacity to learn and work independently
Strong knowledge and know how architecting with AWS native services
IoT domain knowledge: Modbus, wM-Bus, Zigbee, Wifi, Bluetooth, mesh networks, etc.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

Related qualification and proven experience in mobile technology, digital products or IT
AWS certified Solution Architect (Associate or Professional)
Deep knowledge of authentication technologies/protocols (e.g. SSO, oAuth2.0, Token management, etc.)
Deep knowledge of web-based and service-based architectures (REST/SOAP)
Deep knowledge of web security standards
Knowledge of cross platform architecture, technology and platforms (e.g. Web / Android / iOS / etc.)
Experienced in design and development of highly scalable, robust, distributed systems
Experience of architecture and deploying service in public Clouds e.g. AWS
Profound experience in application architecture and hands-on development
Experience in agile development/SCRUM and continuous delivery processes.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

Ability to interpret business challenges and technical issues and effectively communicate how a solution will align to their needs and requirements.
Works in close cooperation with Technical and Commercial Product Owners, Architects within the team, and Vodafone Enablers; leading to the Technology strategy, High-Level Design and contributing to shared propositions.
Able to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences.
Delivery of products and services - lead the design and delivery of respective portfolio as aligned with Group Commercial, local markets and partners. This design includes:

oEnd to end Design
oComponents Design
oInfrastructure Architecture
oSecurity Design
oData models and analytics requirements
oInterfaces Specifications (APIs)
oImpact/Feasibility Assessment
oBusiness requirement evaluation
oConnectivity to other services enablers
oSystem Integration with partners and markets

Technical expert contribution to the technology selection process and make or buy decisions in synchronization with Technology standards.
