Title: Sr. Product Development EngineerAbout Us:At AMETEK, we don't just manufacture market-leading electronic instruments and electromechanical devices - we are using innovation to make the world a better place; technology to improve lives; and talent to solve challenges that matter.Job Summary:Performs development engineering work requiring a high degree of creative ability, electrical engineering skills and independent judgment. Responsible for the designs of AC/DC UPS systems, DC Power Supplies, Inverters and Battery Chargers. Reports to the Director of R&D.Key Responsibilities:

Develop conceptual designs and technology platforms for customers' requirements.
Develop product and PCBA specifications.

Develop and maintain project status reports.
Maintain research library for future designs.
Direct and coordinate the work of engineering technicians.
Coordinate the design and development efforts with 3rd party developers.
Develop schematics in Altium.
Work with board layout personnel in development of printed circuit boards
Component selection and verification for EOL and long lead times.
Works with Document Control to develop Platform BOM's
Works with engineering to insure designs are regulatory UL/FCC compliant to the latest standards.
Work with EMC test house to qualify products to required specifications.

Minimum Qualifications:Minimum of 5-10 years related experience including, but not limited to, design of DC to DC Converters (100W to 10kW), Single Phase UPS Systems (both HF & LF).Requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifying job experienceDesired Qualifications:Requires independent judgment in establishing priorities and in making decisions affecting his/her projects, as well as good organizational, written, oral and interpersonal skills. Some travel may be expected both domestic and international.What's in It for You:
