Supervises the work of other O&M Technicians
Supervises contractors working on behalf of Nalco – prepares and approves permits for work.
Capable of performing all Plant Operator functions
Operates equipment on customer site (Start, Stop and Adjusts as required)
Performs level 1 maintenance on equipment (clean, grease and replace parts as needed)
Obtains, analyzes and logs water samples as required
Takes readings to insure proper process parameters, chemical stock levels and spare part inventory
Responsible for inspections of plant equipment and performs preventative and emergency maintenance as required
Supervises chemical deliveriesEducation/Work Experience:Secondary diploma
5 plus years’ experience of working in an industrial environment
Job specific requirements – fork lift driver license or truck driver license
Electrical, Water or Wastewater licenses as required by contractIndependence Level/Reports to:Moderate decision making authority – issues daily work plans.
Provides direction and support in the development of others.
