Job Description Individual will be working as a Technology Manager handling multiple critical applications using Hadoop, Spark, .NET Core / Angular/React and Openshift Containers/Cloud platforms for financial applications on Wealth Management for Merrill Lynch and private bank users. He /She will be involved in guiding / coaching team of 20+ developers in India spread across multiple locations on technology delivery. The role also requires this candidate to create proposals for modernizing existing platform, Design / Develop Merrill & private bank applications and provide technical mentorship to junior & senior developers. This role demands advanced knowledge of distributed system architecture and performance testing. Responsibilities Responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach for solutions at the program or portfolio level, to deliver significant business outcomes Guide a team of developers in design / developer of applications and help drive large projects from India Be technically Strong on Hadoop, SDP Platform, Spark, Scala, Python, Sqoop, Unix, Autosys and Databases like DB2, Oracle and Mainframe Technologies. Exposure to technologies like .Net, Angular, React, Openshift, Cloud Able to perform design / architecture reviews in India Helping in modernizing and optimizing legacy apps. Work with prod support to be tuned in to the performance of existing apps Work closely with US senior team members and participate in Modernization requirements Work with multiple agile teams to co-ordinate development and unit testing on multiple projects Enable a program/portfolio solution with CI/CD capabilities and release management; Responsible for maximizing reusability, ensuring process optimization and efficient functioning of CI-CD pipeline. Support/mentor/coach team(s) on design and best practices for high code performance - for example, pairing and code reviews Accountable for defining the technology tool stack for the solution within ranged of internally approved and supported technologies. Explore state-of-the-art technologies to improve development efficiencies, quality of test/QA coverage, and release management. Lead and be responsible for the end-to-end test strategy/creation/adherence, and the integration between teams for a program/portfolio solution Facilitate performance and career development of individuals through performance reviews, coaching, and building individual development plans that are needed to develop competencies and skills. Understand individual and team maturity and performance through team/client feedback. Accountable for the application performance in production (app health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews). Requirements Education: BE / MCA Certifications If Any: NA Experience Range: Foundational Skills At least 6 years of experience in Team management At least 10 years of experience in a technology lead capacity on the wealth management domain At least 6 years of experience in an Agile setup working with US based teams. At least 6 years of experience on wealth management functions At least 6 years of experience working with US architecture teams in getting architecture / design approvals At least 5 years of experience in a multi-year program delivery and lives thru the entire journey of that entire program delivery Good communication skills Needs to demonstrate the experience on creating and maintaining strong relationships across the larger organization Needs to demonstrate the experience of coaching / guiding developers At least 3 years of strong CICD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery) experience working thru various tools like Jenkins, Ansible, XLR Should be able to demonstrate core CICD experience and cite runtime issues faced in getting an application fully onboarded on CD Technology Skill set Hadoop Stack and Storage Technologies HDFS, Spark, Scala, Python Good in SQL Autosys MapReduce, HIVE, Sqoop, Impala Mainframe & Db2 Desired skills Datastage Ansible Work Timings: 11.30 AM to 8.30 PM IST (Need to flexible as per business need) Job Location: Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad
