- Diagnose and treat patients with cancer using the latest advancements in Medical Oncology.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and other systemic therapies.
- Collaborate closely with surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatment, adjusting plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
- Provide empathetic counseling to patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, side effects, and prognosis.
- Stay updated with the latest research, clinical trials, and developments in Medical Oncology to deliver evidence-based treatment strategies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documentation, and follow-up notes in compliance with hospital standards.
- Participate in tumor boards, case discussions, and multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance treatment planning.
- Contribute to patient awareness programs and preventive oncology initiatives when required.
- Support the education and training of junior doctors, residents, and medical staff in oncology best practices.
- Strong expertise in Medical Oncology, including chemotherapy administration and management of systemic therapies.
- Ability to interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and pathology reports for accurate cancer staging and treatment planning.
- Proficiency in managing treatment side effects and complications in a timely and effective manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients and families during difficult conversations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and clinical judgment to handle complex cases.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of advancements in cancer treatment.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary setup.
- Compassion, empathy, and emotional resilience while dealing with oncology patients and their families.
- MBBS degree with MD/DNB in Medical Oncology from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical registration and license to practice.
- 2–7 years of post-qualification experience in Medical Oncology.
- Prior experience in a reputed cancer center, hospital, or oncology department will be highly desirable.
- Exposure to clinical research, trials, or academic contributions in oncology will be an added advantage.
