Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

6 years of experience as a technical writer.

Experience with technical documentation, developer facing, Cloud APIs, networking protocols, or network architecture.

Experience with HTML or markdown in a Unix environment.

Preferred qualifications:

10 years of experience as a technical writer, documenting technologies with researching and writing documentation for developers.

Experience with computer networking technologies, such as DNS, routers, the BGP routing protocol, firewalls and firewall rules including iptables, Virtual Private Networks and cloud-based services, and load balancers and proxies.

Experience with public Cloud technologies such as Cloud Networking technologies, Compute technologies, ML/AI technologies, or data systems (e.g., Data Warehousing, Analytics, SQL).

About the jobTechnical writers plan, create, and maintain educational content as an integral part of the engineering or user experience. The content is often in the form of documentation, but may also be UI text, sample code, videos, or other educational material. Write technical documentation for developers and network and security engineers, including concept documents, how-to guides, and API reference documents.
Design and organize documentation sets for new features.
Rewrite and reorganize existing documentation to improve the customer experience.
Edit, clarify, and proofread documents written by others, and coach non-writers on ways to improve their writing skills.
Manage documentation projects, and take responsibility for the quality of documentation.
