- Good technical reasoning, analytical and monitoring skills
- Knowledge in AutoCAD, Smart plant Instrumentation (INTOOLS) software.
- Excellent computer skills including use of engineering and computer software to complete control valve, PSV and flow meter sizing.
- Knowledge in midstream brown field FEED & Detail design
- Strong knowledge in field instruments including electronic and pneumatic transmitters, switches, meter-runs, analyzers, control valves and ESD valves.
- Requires a broad knowledge of the application of engineering to plant constructability as applied to construction methods and materials, and the economics involved.
- Review and verification of inputs as per the project requirement.
- Knowledge and experience applying codes and standards such as CSA, API, ANSI and ISA.
- P&ID review with process team & Piping Team, updating necessary changes.
- Review vendor and existing drawings for design compliance.
- Preparation & Review of Instrument Index and Instrument I/O list.
- Preparation & Review of datasheet.
- Preparation & Review of FJB interconnection wiring diagram.
- Preparation & Review of Loop diagram.
- Preparation & Review of Cable Schedule.
- Preparation & Review of Instrument Location Plan.
- Preparation & Review of Cable & Conduit tray routing.
- Preparation & Review of Instrument Hookup drawings.
- Preparation & Review Power Distribution dwgs
- Preparation & Review of PLC layout & IO Schedule.
- Preparation & Review of Cause & Effect Diagram.
- Knowledge of various electrical components including MCCs, PLC equipment panels and motors.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in Instrumentation design
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in oil & gas
