What You Can ExpectThe person in this position is responsible for new packaging design, development, and implementation; and/or to maintain packaging systems currently in the market by providing innovative medical device packaging to further Zimmer Biomets mission and grow Zimmer Biomets market leadership position.
Work Location: Bangalore

- Demonstrates medical packaging design and development execution within a multi-disciplinary project team desired with limited guidance.
- Conducts and owns testing to support project activities with no guidance.
- Generates complex prototype models to evaluate design concepts.
- Leads packaging evaluations with internal/external customers.
- Generates comprehensive protocols for testing/analyzing of packaging.
- Leads design control process related documentation to support projects.
- Leads creation and preparation of documentation for regulatory submissions with minimal guidance.
- Acts as project manager for projects with technical complexity for new packaging development, transfers and/or design changes.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software, including Visio, Excel and project management tool(s).
- Demonstrates knowledge of drafting standards and geometric differences, stack-ups and tolerances required.
- Demonstrates knowledge of FDA and EU MDR medical packaging regulatory requirements, standards and associated test methods required.
- Demonstrates knowledge of medical packaging materials and material processes required.
- Communication: Proficient in technical written skills.
Leads in cross-functional design control technical communication.
Demonstrate the ability to tailor communication based on the audience. * Leadership: Ability to identify, validate and propose solutions to presented challenges and identify solutions in multi-phase iterations.
- Teamwork: Leads meetings with team members and key Zimmer Biomet personnel.

- Strong hands-on experience in packaging design, development, and validation exp.
- Good knowledge of packaging regulations and standards (ISO 11607, FDA, ASTM, ISTA) and ability to execute tasks based on the standards
- Ability to independently drive cross-functional discussions, experience mentoring junior engineers and providing guidance and review oversight.
- B.S. required, preferably in Packaging Engineering or Engineering discipline
- 3 to 5 years of full-time (including relevant ZB Coop/Intern) packaging experience.
