Senior Engineer - Piping

• Preparation of piping specifications, datasheets, bill of material and basic pipe layout drawings for ,water transmission linesprojects.
• Selection of Pipe material, undertaking as well as review of pipe sizing calculations, hydraulic calculation, transient analysis and pipe stress analysis preferably for Water Tranmission pipeline projects.
• Technical evaluation of tenders, vendor offers, bids. Preparation and closure of clarifications and report preparation related to Piping work
• Review of Engineering Drawings and Documents related to piping system
• General technical support to Utility Companies, Plant Owners, Project Developer Companies, Banks & Governments pre/post financial close for new build plants as well as existing operational plant on piping works

• Assisting the iCRC group team leader to plan and allocate team resources and tasks.
• Technical support to the Pre-Contract and Project Delivery teams on matters concerning the design, construction and operation of Water transmission pipeline and associated equipment.
• Detail design of piping in water projects and use of the associated pipe modelling and analysis software packages.
• Technical evaluation of tender submissions and report preparation related to piping
• Preparation of basic and detail piping technical specifications, datasheets and pipe layout drawings.
• Review of piping design and sizing calculations and drawings of Contractors/subcontractors/ vendors.
• Attend and contribute in team and project meetings.
• Reporting and monitoring of site progress to Project manager / client.
• Attend factory acceptance tests for any equipment manufactured in India and Abroad.
• Support on the preparation of Due Diligence report and Operation reports related to piping work
• Review of method statement/ test procedures submitted by contractors for power, desalination and sewage treatment plants site activities related to piping work.
• Support on the review and preparation of monthly and quarterly construction progress reports related to piping work.
• Maintain an awareness of technological advances and industry best practice

• Design office experience working on power and water projects (8 to10 years).
• Detail design of piping in power and water projects and use of the associated pipe modelling and analysis software packages
• Experience of Pipe stress analysis and pipe transient analysis softwares. Experience of water plant systems and equipment.
• Must have worked on large water transmission pipelines , projects preferable across Middle East.
• Preparation of piping technical specifications, datasheets for water plants & water transmission pipeline projects.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision to achieve tight deadlines.
• Validation of specific calculation procedures.
• Willing to travel overseas for project meetings.
• Familiarity with relevant international standards.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Good computer skills

• Knowledge of long distance transmission pipeline is desired
• Knowledge of IWTP contracts is an advantage

• The candidate should be a graduate Civil/Mechanical Engineer with 7 to 10 years of relevant experience
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office
