Introduction Under minimum or no supervision carries out procedures and tests to ensure that information systems meet standards and end user requirements. Mitigate risks to Business through timely and precise execution of manual/automated test scripts under minimal supervision. Responsible for specific test phases Preparation and execution of test ware - scenarios, cases and data Produce test results/screenshots & evidence those through Agile Central/ JIRA What will you be doing Participate in requirements gathering and analysis activities and assessing the application from test automation perspective. Understanding functionality related to given module. Develop and execute formal test plans within schedule and budget constraints. Develop test specifications based on various requirement documents within schedule constraints Document defects & track till closure Create & execute complex test ware - estimates, scenarios, cases, data Develop test bed and verify test environments. Set up necessary monitoring / profiling tools to identify and isolate performance bottlenecks Perform functional and technical test execution activities (automated tests, where applicable) as per engagement level in the project Assist the Test lead/ manager in managing the testing day to day Build knowledge repository on best practices on using specific test tools Uses utilities and tools to support testing Create and maintain required MI for the project/ module, update agile central. Sharing of re-usable components to test engineering colleagues and other test teams Deliver test automation improvement initiatives within the project group. Conform to established best practices and any appropriate test automation standards Provide guidance to other team members on technology/domain/application queries What We're Looking For Domain background of Banking /BFSI industry having minimum 2-6+ years of experience with hands on manual or automated testing experience on ETL/DW test applications. Knowledge of automation framework dealt with functional testing. Awareness of banking applications Clear and concise written and verbal communication Exposure to working in testing projects in a team environment Experience in application of version control tools Active contributor to open-source tools towards Automation / Quality Engineering Good at art of questioning and critical thinking. Be lights-on in adverse situations to be able to come up with solution/workaround to align with the end objective (technical/operational) Aptitude to learn tools/apps/processes/domains Ability to articulate thoughts spoken/written with global teams Knowledge of testing terminologies, processes and tools Sharing of re-usable components to test engineering colleagues and other test teams Deliver test automation improvement initiatives within the project group. Conform to established best practices and any appropriate test automation standards Should have excellent conflict management skills and generate trust and respect in team Conducting demos to the stakeholders for POC using concise and crisp combination of static presentations and dynamic demo executions Detailed user guide creation and setup for automation users Conducting user trainings for issue identification and reporting of failures identified through automation Aptitude to learn tools/apps/processes/domains Educational Qualification: BE (CS or any relevant stream) Conform to established good practice and any appropriate test automation standards Strong experience in Agile with experience working in Agile Scrum methodology. Some Agile certification is preferred. Exposure to Continuous Integration (CI) Environment/ tools such as Jenkins, Team City, etc and BDD Knowledge of Agile Central and JIRA Certification: ISTQB/CSTE / CSQA Good to have exposure of service virtualization. Skills That Will Help You In The Role Expert in creating testing scenarios and batch testing data. Basic knowledge of Oracle SQL. Well versed with test fundamentals and test process. Working knowledge of Functional & API testing. Hands on experience in UI, ETL and API test automation. Should have exposure of framework creation and working experience of karate framework. Knowledge of JAVA, Gradle, Maven, extent reporting, BDD, Cucumber, Jenkin, GIT, team city. Knowledge of JIRA tracking tools Challenging and supportive mindset.
