- Collaborate with Global Products (GP) experts to understand the plans for APTIV's next-generation systems.
- Lead the development of SDV Functional Safety, including activities like Item Definition, Hazard Analysis & Risk Assessment (HARA), Functional Safety Concept (FSC), and more.
- Work closely with GP Advanced Engineering teams to incorporate the latest APTIV technology into the SDV Platform.
- Support the assessment of FS implementation in Tier-2 suppliers, explaining safety requirements from a vehicle perspective.
- Provide technical guidance and assist in transferring SDV Platform FS Technical Solutions to Customer projects.
- Take ownership of key safety architecture work products, such as HARA, FSC, TSC, and SOTIF.
- Support peer reviews for FS work products according to ISO26262 standards.
- Champion advanced safety methods and techniques like SOTIF, STPA, Safe AI/ML, and more.
- Contribute to GPO design and Gate Reviews by providing accurate status updates on Vehicle FS work products.
- Assist with change requests, deviations, and escalation reviews related to Vehicle FS implementation.
- Develop FS-related templates, design guides, and training materials.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in EE, Automotive Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering,
- 8+ years of experience in Functional Safety (ISO 26262),
- Hands-on experience with FS work products (Item Definition, HARA, FSC, TSC, FTA/FMEA) – Mandatory,
- Experience in OEM settings is highly preferred,
- Solid knowledge of SOTIF (ISO21448),
- Solid knowledge of System Engineering & System Design and development,
- Knowledge of automotive System development life cycle,
- Familiarity with requirements management tools.
