About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced SAP MDG ABAP Techno-Functional Consultant to lead and support Master Data Governance solutions by bridging business requirements and technical implementation.This role requires strong ABAP expertise combined with functional knowledge of master data processes across Finance, Material, Business Partner, and related domains. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams (MDG, MM, SD, FICO, PP), architects, and integration teams to design, develop, integrate, migrate, synchronize, and support scalable MDG solutions.This position is part of the Data Analytics & Automation team and reports to the SAP MDG Manager.What You Will DoTechno-Functional Leadership
Act as subject matter expert for SAP Master Data Governance solutions
Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
Lead blueprint workshops and define end-to-end CRUD processes
Provide governance, integration, and synchronization design recommendations
Functional & Configuration Responsibilities
Configure and enhance MDG Data Models, UI Models, and Process Models
Implement validations, derivations, workflows, and BRF+ rules
Manage Data Replication Framework (DRF) and Key Mapping
Perform Customizing Synchronization between MDG and connected ERP systems
Ensure alignment of configuration settings across landscapes (DEV, QA, PROD)
Support master data governance processes across MM, SD, FICO, and PP
Technical & Integration Responsibilities
Develop custom enhancements using ABAP (OO ABAP, BADIs, Enhancements, Reports)
Enhance Web Dynpro / FPM-based MDG applications
Configure SAP Workflow and BRF+ applications
Set up and manage SOA Manager for Web Service configuration
Design, publish, and consume SOAP-based Web Services
Configure logical ports, service bindings, and troubleshoot service integrations
Develop and support interfaces using ALE/IDOC, RFC, BAPI, and Web Services
Support IDOC enhancements and custom IDOC developments
Support integration with SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC
Optimize ABAP code and troubleshoot performance issues
Data Migration, Mass Upload & Consolidation
Support master data migration activities using SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit (LTMC)
Perform data migration using LSMW, BDC, and custom upload programs
Develop and support mass upload templates and utilities
Support data cleansing, transformation, and validation activities
Participate in mock loads, reconciliation, and cutover planning
Support master data consolidation and harmonization initiatives
Testing, Documentation & Support
Convert functional specifications into technical designs
Prepare Technical Design Documents (TDD)
Perform unit testing and support SIT/UAT cycles
Provide production support and incident resolution
Ensure adherence to ABAP development standards
Participate in upgrades, releases, and system improvements
What You Need to Be Successful
5+ years of SAP MDG experience with strong ABAP development background
Hands-on experience in MDG configuration, enhancements, and Customizing Synchronization
Expertise in SAP Workflow, BRF+, and process modeling
Proven experience in SOA Manager setup, Web Services configuration, and interface management
Experience supporting data migration and mass uploads (LTMC, LSMW, BDC)
Strong integration knowledge using ALE/IDOC, RFC, Web Services
Functional understanding of MM, SD, FICO, PP master data processes
Experience leading workshops and collaborating with business stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field
Bonus Points if You Have
End-to-end MDG implementation experience (Finance / BP / Material domains)
Experience in master data consolidation and governance transformation programs
Agile delivery experience
Knowledge of Jira / Confluence
What Makes You Eligible

Willing to work in an office or hybrid setup in Bangalore, India.
