- Strong understanding of rail vehicle electrical architecture with subsystem interactions for deriving functional and wiring schematics.
- Ensure design compliance with rail industry standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications. Possess strong knowledge of railway standards (IEC/EN) and associated engineering procedures.
- Lead and manage the Schematics and CATIA EHI team, ensuring high-quality deliverables across multiple rail vehicle projects.
- Lead cross-functional teams including S&A designers, mechanical designers, electrical routing designers, and advanced industrialization engineers.
- Oversee the design and validation of electrical schematics and 3D harness routing using CATIA V5/V6 and EHI tools.
- Review and approve technical documentation, change requests, and cost optimization proposals.
- Coordinate with suppliers for prototype development, ensuring alignment with design specifications and project timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, systems, and software engineering to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Drive project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and milestone tracking.
- Provide technical mentorship and training to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Demonstrate a leadership mindset with strong accountability, ownership, and adaptability in cross-functional environments.
- Manage engineering changes through change management systems and processes.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in rail transportation with a focus on electrical systems and harness design.
- Proven experience in CATIA V5/V6, especially in EHI (Electrical Harness Installation) and schematics tools like Zuken E3 series, or similar.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects from concept to delivery.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards such as EN 50155, EN 45545, or equivalent.
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and system integration in rail or similar domains.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience with high-speed trains, metros, monorails, or trams.
- Knowledge of PLM systems (e.g., ENOVIA, Teamcenter) and configuration management.
- Exposure to rail vehicle architecture design.
