Experience Required:5–7 years of relevant experience in General Trade Sales in the FMCG sector
Job Summary:We are looking for a result-driven and self-motivated Area Sales Executive (ASE) with solid experience in General Trade Sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving primary and secondary sales targets, managing distributors and salesmen, executing brand visibility and promotional activities, and enhancing distribution efficiency in the assigned geography.
Key Responsibilities:1. Sales Planning & Target AchievementDevelop monthly and quarterly sales plans
Meet primary and secondary sales targets
Drive growth in assigned territory through focused initiatives2. Territory & Distribution (DB) ManagementAppoint and manage distributors (DBs)
Handle and resolve DB-related operational challenges
Ensure DB hygiene and compliance3. Salesman Resourcing & ManagementRecruit and train Market Representatives (MRs)
Track MR performance, drive efficiency
Enable beat-wise sales execution and growth4. Market Execution & VisibilityPlan and implement BTL activities like trade schemes, display drives, coverage initiatives, new launches, and branding campaigns
Maintain store-level brand visibility and freshness5. Operational Hygiene & Sales EffectivenessEnsure timely order booking, delivery, claims processing
Monitor sales MIS and field analytics
Optimize beat plans and daily field execution6. Competitor & Category ManagementMonitor competitor activity and market trends
Suggest counter-strategies and local initiatives
Strengthen product/category positioning

Distributor appointment and performance handling
Market Representative (MR) recruitment, training, and management

Sales data analysis and reporting
Strong understanding of General Trade structure and KPIs
