- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of SAP testing professionals (test engineers executing manual and automated testing).
- Set clear priorities for the team, conduct performance reviews, coach, mentor and provide feedback.
- Facilitate training and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across Enterprise IT and other divisional Value Teams in the company, including Manufacturing, Research, Commercial Markets, to execute the appropriate levels of testing based on requirements and identified testing needs.
- Define testing scope, resources required, and timelines, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Ensure all testing activities meet system development lifecycle (SDLC) requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and changes that may impact testing procedures.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of test plans, protocols, and reports.
- Manage the execution of various testing phases and types across releases, including but not limited to stability testing, validation testing, and performance testing.
- Identify potential risks associated with testing and product quality and implement mitigation strategies.
- Conduct root cause analysis for any issues identified during testing and develop corrective action plans.
- Lead initiatives for process improvement and optimization of testing methodologies and tools.
- Analyze testing data and metrics to drive insights for product quality and process efficiency.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for testing-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and present reports on testing outcomes and quality metrics to senior management.
- Assist in budgeting for testing activities, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Monitor expenditures and ensure adherence to budget constraints.
- Drive the adoption of automation and digital tools to enhance testing efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop training programs for testing staff to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Promote a culture of learning and professional development within the team, whilst fostering collaboration, encouraging trust, and promoting a sense of unity among team members.
- Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies. Stay updated with the latest testing techniques and industry trends.
- Primary skill- SAP modules (like SAP FI, CO, MM, SD, QM, PM, PP, WM, EWM, ARIBA, Concur) , testing tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium, JIRA, Jira XRAY, TOSCA, HP ALM, Load Runner, LiveCompare Analytics, Manual testing, Automation testing
- Secondary skill- JIRA, S4/HANA
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in SAP testing, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment, quality assurance, or related fields.
- Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably within a multinational organization.
- Proven knowledge of SDLC in the pharmaceutical industry required.
- Proven experience with various SAP modules (like SAP FI, CO, MM, SD, QM, PM, PP, WM, EWM, ARIBA, Concur, Fieldglass, eCommerce etc.) and their functionalities is required. Prior experience with S/4 HANA would be advantageous.
- Involvement in SAP implementation or upgrade projects, particularly in testing roles is required.
- Proven experience in various testing methodologies such as Manual Testing, Automated Testing, Performance Testing, and Load Testing required.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in project management and testing methodologies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proven experience with testing tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium, JIRA, Jira XRAY, TOSCA, HP ALM, Load Runner, LiveCompare Analytics) required.
- Certifications in quality assurance, application management, project management and testing are preferred, such as: ITSQB (such as Certified Tester or Advanced Test Manager), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Agile Tester Certification (CAT), Certified Software Tester (CSTE) or Quality Assurance and Testing (QAT), PMP, or other relevant certifications.
