This role ensures reliable data ingestion into Splunk indexers for operational and security analytics.Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Splunk Universal Forwarders on servers and endpoints
  • Ensure accurate and secure data forwarding to Splunk indexers
  • Manage deployment server configurations for centralized UF management
  • Troubleshoot data ingestion issues and optimize performance
  • Tag metadata (source, sourcetype, host) and apply parsing rules
  • Collaborate with Splunk Admins and IT teams to onboard new data sources
  • Document UF configurations and maintain version control
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum qualifications / Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • Good years of experience with Splunk UF in enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with Linux/Windows system administration
  • Understanding of Splunk architecture and data pipelines
  • Experience with configuration files (inputs.conf, outputs.conf, deploymentclient.conf)
  • Knowledge of SSL, data compression, and network protocols
Preferred qualifications / Skills
