Maybe it’s you we are looking for in our Global HR team, as our International Payroll specialistRequirementsThe Payroll Specialist role provides subject matter expertise and execution of the payroll of our Legal Entities in Americas and Asia. As a payroll specialist, your role revolves around ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for an organization's employees.Your Responsibilities:This role is responsible to deliver payroll processing service for legal entities in US and Asia , ensuring the operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities (including Build to Gross and Gross to Net, Pay processing, Post payroll validation, T&A management and reporting) are accurate and delivered within appropriate timeframes and comply with relevant legislation.Overall, as a payroll specialist, attention to detail, confidentiality, and a strong understanding of payroll regulations are essential to effectively manage payroll operations. Below are breakdown of some common responsibilities:· Payroll Processing: This involves calculating wages, salaries, deductions, and bonuses for employees based on their time records or contracts.· Compliance: Staying updated with relevant tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies to ensure payroll practices remain compliant.· Data Entry & Record Keeping: Inputting employee data, including new hires, terminations, changes in salary & adjustments to benefits.Maintaining accurate records of payroll transactions. Also data transfer from time and attendance system to Payroll engine· Benefits Administration: Overseeing employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and flexible spending accounts, and ensuring they are accurately reflected in payroll.· Payroll Tax Management: Calculating, withholding & remitting payroll taxes to appropriate government agencies. This includes income tax, Social Security, Medicare & unemployment taxes.· Reporting: Generating reports for management, accounting, and regulatory purposes. This may include payroll summaries, tax reports, and audits.· Problem Resolution: Addressing payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies from employees, managers, and external stakeholders.· Systems Management: Utilizing payroll software or systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency. This may involve implementing upgrades, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring data security.· Communication: Collaborating with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment on payroll-related matters, such as compensation changes, benefits enrollment, and budget forecasting.· Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to enhance payroll processes, reduce errors, and increase accuracy through automation, training, or policy refinement.Skills and attributes for success
  • Good understanding of payroll, Income tax, social security, union agreements for Asian and American region.
  • Good at project management and stakeholder management skills,
  • Service excellence, customer orientation,
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office suite of products,
  • Good understanding of payroll tools/technologies, if needed the ability to quickly adapt to a new tool.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in international payroll
  • Experience of implementing payroll is an added advantage
  • Familiar with publishing monthly metrics and reporting
  • Payroll/HR/Finance/Systems background with an understanding of the core competencies of the payroll process
  • Proven ability to work effectively either as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff on all levels
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Tax.
