1. Conduct thermal analysis using tools such as Ansys Icepak and Solidworks flowsimulation & Flotherm XT to predict temperature distribution, heat transfer, and thermal stress in mechanical components and systems.
2. Conduct thermal management simulations to optimize cooling strategies and ensure components operate within specified temperature limits.
3. Perform structural analysis including finite element analysis (FEA), fatigue analysis, and modal analysis to assess structural integrity and ensure designs meet performance and safety criteria.
4. Collaborate with design engineers to optimize product designs for thermal and structural performance while adhering to project timelines.
5. Identify opportunities for weight reduction and material optimization without compromising structural integrity or thermal performance.
6. Generate technical reports and presentations summarizing analysis results, insights, and recommendations for design improvements.
7. Support testing and validation efforts by defining test plans, analyzing test data, and correlating results with simulation models.
8. Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) to predict structural behaviour, stress distribution, and deformation under various loading conditions.
9. Evaluate the impact of thermal stresses on structural integrity and recommend design modifications to improve performance and reliability.
10. Stay current with industry trends, advancements in analysis techniques, and emerging technologies to continuously improve analysis methodologies.
11. Prepare comprehensive technical reports, documentation, and presentations summarizing analysis methods, results, and recommendations for internal stakeholders and clients.
12. Maintain accurate records of simulations, assumptions, and boundary conditions used in analysis.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience 6 to 9years in performing thermal and structural analysis in Defence/Aerospace.
- Proficiency with thermal analysis tools such as Ansys workbench (Linear & Non-Linear analysis).
- Strong background in finite element analysis (FEA) and other structural analysis methods.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in CAD software (SolidWorks, CREO & Ansys Space claim) for creating and modifying 3D models.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.
