Senior Staff Engineer Applications

In your new role you will:
- Understand Customer requirements and trends in Server / Datacenter /Telecom markets, with focus on DCDC power conversion for Battery back-up units, Supercapacitors, Energy storage.
- Generate reference Design/demo board to validate product performance in target applications and demonstrate IFX total solutions: Schematics, PCB layout, oversee manufacturing, Bench verification.
- Understand Design compliant to safety standards for HV bus and components up to 1200V
- Drive to the technical go-to-market e.g. by generating Application Notes, white papers, selection guides for new products, video and training material.
- Drive design-in of new products at key accounts in strong collaborating with regional teams.
- Train FAEs and regional AE on new Ref Design and System demonstrators
- Act as Customer's technical interface in order to position Infineon as a strategic partner at specific accounts.
- Provide feedback to Product Lines and R&D about product performance in target applications
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- University degree in Electrical Engineering Msc / PhD, 3~5 years experience in dc/dc converters design & power electronics . Familiar with isolated, non-isolated topologies and control methods.
- Familiar with power devices and ICs: Power MOSFETs, Gate drivers design, development, testing.
- Experience in Power converter Design, digital and Analog control, Microcontroller programming.
- Demonstrated experience with battery back-up system is a plus
- Demonstrated system innovation / IP generation is a plus.
- Strong organizational and priorization skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Analytical thinking and result-oriented, structured working style.
- Strong Customer-orientation and capability to resolve technical issues until completion
- Self-driven, able to work in a global multicultural team with complex interfaces.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
