Job Title - Engineer - Digital Lab Applications Career Level - C About The Role We have exciting opportunity for AWS Engineer working as part of Digital Lab Platform within the R&D IT department. The AWS Engineer will work closely with the DevOps Lead, Platform Lead, Technical Lead, Scrum Master and DevOps team to ensure sophisticated and on-time delivery of demands and long-term servicing of different AWS applications within the platform. As an AWS Engineer you will contribute to the effort to bring about a step-change in our inhouse solutions & capabilities migration to cloud and will be responsible for delivery of backlog items and assigned service requests for digital lab AWS Services. You will be responsible for planning and executing within the committed timeline. The AWS Engineer is a highly motivated self-starter that is an independent thinker who thrives on finding creative and innovative solutions. Experience And Key Desired Skills 4+ years of hands-on experience in AWS services: EC2, ECS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC. Experience developing and debugging Infrastructure as Code: CloudFormation, TerraForm, Ansible, Chef, Puppet Hands-On experience with scripting language: Python/Java/Bash/Perl Hands-on experience with major DevOps tools including Git, Docker containerization, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Ansible Tower and strong DevOps experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). Extensive knowledge in designing and implementing DevOps practices for version control, compliance, configuration management, build, release, and testing using AWS cloud infrastructure. Experience with FinOps tools and implementing cost management practices to tract, analyse and optimise cloud spending. Experience in setting up monitoring and alerting systems to track usage, performance and cost trends in real time. Takes ownership of the DevOps discipline and be responsible for managing application, server, and infrastructure related issues. Multi-vendor & multi-platform experience is required. Experience working with global teams and guiding them through technical issues is highly preferred. Must be able to work independently, prioritize existing demands, and proactively determine areas requiring additional attention, monitoring, or maintenance. Experience working with JIRA & Service Now. Good team player that has the attitude to work with highest integrity. Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to work with others to achieve objectives. Responds positively to change and the challenges and opportunities it brings.
