It will support not only the business development in India, but also the global product portfolio of the Company.1.) Job Purpose: -Support the design team to validate design in terms of Serviceability, assembly, safety, reliability, Ergonomics etc.Able to correlate digital data with Physical product.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Skilled in Visualization Mockup and Teamcenter.2.) Dimensions: -Reporting through Superiors / Managers: Tractor team Leader3.) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: -· Work on project feasibility with-in DMU environment to define first level of changes and associated concerns in packaging.· Prepare the concept layout for review and approval on projects.· Responsible to make first cut descriptive bill of material.· Understanding the tractor configuration based on Product Offering and knowledge of the specific product to understand if the BOM is consistence to produce a complete tractor according to the order.· BOM high level check to be done to understand the Product Offering and the family/variant split to be able to verify if the variants inside each family are completed and consistent with the technical content required· Responsible to lead the build activity support on assembly line from design side along with vehicle architect.· Part of the activity also includes the BOM consistence check by the creation and verification of key models; it is requested to become self-sufficient on the variant analysis to identify possible issues.·· To ensure the design changes received from leads to be properly analyzed using DMU software considering manufacturing, serviceability, assembly, Ergonomics with help of packagers.· To guide the designer from overall system integration point of view.Understanding of Tractor function, systems / sub systems is highly desired. exposure to high hp segment (300hp+) would be an advantage.4.) Organization Chart: -Report to Tractor Team Leader5.) Background Information and Main Activities: -The role of Packager is to do the first cut feasibility of any new project or proposal. This include study on packaging issues and major changes required for the project. He also need to work on concept proposal for discussion and approval. He will be working on project in feasibility phase along with vehicle architect to make descriptive bom. During the project phase, he has to ensure that issues that arise during assembly/serviceability/manufacturing are upfront taken care during soft data analysis. Needs to be a good team player, ability to mix with cross- functional and discuss relevant issues and important questions for ensuring seamless assembly of new product and existing products on line.Support manufacturing in developing process, selection of relevant tools and be able to brainstorm in improvement of existing and new assembly process.His role includes proper archiving the PIR’s raised during analysis and ensuring the closure of issues in order to avoid any assembly or service issues anticipated during assembly and servicing of existing and new products with the help of packagers.6.) Work Relationship: -Packagers / Vehicle Architect/ Design Engineering team/purchase team/manufacturing team/service team / Homologation / Product Validation7) Qualification, Age and Experience: -Education-B.Tech (Mechanical and Agricultural)ExperienceMinimum 10 years of experience in Vehicle Integration - DMU role8) Other Information:
  • Vehicle Integration experience. Exposure to homologation, ergonomics principles is highly desired.
  • Good communication & coordination skills
  • Manufacturing assembly knowledge is added advantage
  • Good experience on DFA / DFM / DFS / DFV required
