Our team is part of Shiptech org that primarily deals with managing multiple components like version management, controlled rollout management, repository of transportation related entities, etc., that enable self-serve capabilities to onboard a carrier onto Amazon Transportation network when artefacts like label, manifest, etc. are created. We also owns components which are external facing and used to manage 3P carrier operations like adhoc capacity management and performance management The Transportation business has grown in scale and complexity over the last few years with the introduction of innovative business models, product evolution and geographic expansion. We have launched our journey to transform to a NEW carrier facing product named Passport/Carrier Logistics to replace a multitude of manual processes and tools. We are looking for a Web Development Engineer who will drive the core platform UI functionalities required for our new product (exposed to end Carrier externally) by co-ordinating with multiple business, product and tech teams from various trans organizations. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Hyderabad, IND | Hyderabad, TS, IND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, unit testing, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations - Experience translating design mockups, prototypes and user stories into working applications - Understanding of web services technologies such as REST, SOAP, HTTP, JSON - Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency, and drive - Experience in development best practices including Agile development, peer code reviews and unit testing. - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
