Should Lead the System Operations and Application Maintenance of the mainframe-based application (SAVE and SOVID) , running in IMS-DB, DB2, JCL and COBOL-IMS.
As a Sr Mainframe Developer, should take complete ownership of the application monitoring and Production support activities.
Work with business to understand functional and system requirements to deliver any enhancements.
Has to follow the PDO IT solution delivery methodology processes within the GDIA organization and should adhere to security processes and support them on assigned applications.
Able to work on the provide production support of the applications in the defined SLA or CSF/ CTQs and should quickly act on the production incidents/ job abends and resolve them.
Able to monitor the daily/ weekly/ monthly jobs and support issues as required.
Co-ordinate with Business and team and with the end users team for details on tasks and provides status to portfolio review meeting etc.
Should play active role in Modernizing the Mainframe application into GCP platform, should Lead setting up the data pipeline in GCP, ensuring data integrity and designing for scalability and performance.

GCP Pipeline Development and Enhancement:

Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines using GCP services (BigQuery and Batch/Online processing etc.).
This includes creating reusable components, implementing best practices, and ensuring the pipelines maintainability and extensibility.
Experience with automated data lineage is essential.
Data Governance and Security: Implement and maintain data governance and security best practices within the GCP environment, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
CI/CD Integration: Integrate data pipelines into our continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.

Skills Preferred:

Big Query,, AIRFLOW

Experience Required:Senior Engineer Exp:

Prac. In 2 coding lang. or adv. Prac. in 1 lang.; guides.
10+ years in IT;
8+ years in development

Experience Preferred:

Mainframe, COBOL, IMS, IMS-DB, JCL with experience in ETL tools. Experience in GCP Astronomer and Big-Query

Education Required:

Bachelor's Degree
