- Regulatory Adherence: Independently manage and ensure 100% compliance with all State Specific EHS legal requirements.
- Permit Management: Oversee and maintain all necessary environmental and safety permits, licenses, and documentation required by local authorities.
- Internal Standards: Implement and maintain the Schneider Performance Management System requirements regarding EHS metrics and reporting.
- Risk Management & Incident Control
- Risk Assessment: Lead and facilitate advanced risk assessment techniques, including FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study).
- Investigation: Conduct thorough accident and near-miss investigations using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies to prevent recurrence.
- Operational Safety: Implement and strictly maintain LOTO (Lockout-Tagout) procedures and Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
- Training & Development
- Curriculum Design: Design and develop comprehensive EHS training programs tailored to various site activities.
- Role-Based Training: Determine specific training needs based on job roles and ensure all workers/staff are competent in their respective safety protocols.
- Culture Building: Conduct regular training sessions to foster a proactive safety culture across the organization.
- Technical Safety & Sustainability
- Specialized Knowledge: Apply sound knowledge of Arc Flash safety, industrial hygiene, and ergonomics to daily operations.
- Material Handling: Oversee and optimize material handling requirements to ensure safe movement and storage of goods.
- Sustainability: Drive environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives, focusing on waste management, energy efficiency, and carbon footprint reduction.
- Management Systems
- System Design: Design, implement, and audit EHS management systems (ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 frameworks).
- Performance Monitoring: Track EHS performance indicators and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Hands on experience on SPS will be a added advantage.
- Mandatory: Must have completed an AICTU-approved course in Safety with a minimum duration of 5 year.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of professional experience in the EHS domain.
- Preferred: Prior experience within the Schneider Electric ecosystem or familiarity with Schneider safety standards is highly advantageous.
- Deep understanding of Karnataka State EHS compliance and statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in risk assessment tools (FMEA, HAZOP).
- Expertise in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Strong knowledge of industrial hygiene and Arc Flash hazards.
- Excellent communication and training delivery skills.
- Location: Must be able to visit the BEF sites daily or be willing to relocate to the vicinity.
- Ability to work independently and manage site-level requirements with minimal supervision.
- Hands-on approach to implementing LOTO and PTW on the shop floor/site.
