Position : Pastry HeadCompany Description:Our pastry and bakery training academy in Chennai, India is seeking a highly skilled and experienced. Head Pastry Chef to lead our team and oversee the practical bakery and pastry production. Wespecialize in European style pastries, chocolate, cakes, breads, confections, and other relatedproducts. Our academy aims to provide comprehensive training and education to aspiring pastrychefs and bakers. The Head Pastry Chef will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality andstandards of our training programs.Responsibilities:1) Leadership and Employee Development:o Provide training, coaching, mentorship, motivation, and direction to all pastry department colleagues.o Continuously strive to develop colleagues in all areas of baking and leadership skills.o Ensure every employee is working effectively and efficiently, improving morale and fostering positive employee relations.2) Production Management:o Lead and manage the quality and quantity of items produced by the pastry department.o Coordinate production to meet the demands of banquet and restaurant functions.o Supervise and manage pastry department employees, ensuring adherence to standards and procedures.3) Financial Management:o Advocate sound financial and business decision-making within the pastry department.o Monitor weekly sales and adjust pre-production levels accordingly.o Ensure all food products are ordered to par levels and make adjustments based on business volumes.4) Operational Excellence:o Oversee all cooking operations, including methods of preparation, portion control, and food delivery timeliness.o Monitor and maintain garnishing standards to enhance presentation.o Open and close the pastry work area at scheduled times, ensuring full preparation for operation.5) Quality Assurance:o Lead and manage the quality and quantity of the pastry department's output.o Coordinate production to effectively handle customer demands.o Supervise the preparation, quality, and quantity of all baked items to maintain highstandards.6) Teaching and Training:o Impart knowledge and expertise to students, ensuring they receive comprehensive training and guidance.o Communicate effectively with team members and students, providing clear instructions and guidance.o Foster an environment conducive to learning and skill development.Interested candidates can apply to kinnera259@gmail.com
