- To bring the voice of customer to the project throughout the lifecycle with special focus to the development process, to meet the expected deliveries, field, service and initial quality targets.
- Management of Quality Assurance as a process owner in a project, reporting to Quality Assurance Management (independent from the project) and dotted line to the VP, SBU.
- To ensure ASPICE L2 compliance for the project, acting as single POC for all process areas and working with the Engineering teams to take NC's to closure.
- Responsible for process tailoring for the project to keep it lean and efficient. Strives to identify the right process balance to reflect the overall complexity of a Connectivity SBU project and customer requirements.
- Acts as a partner to the engineering team in the process adherence journey. Performs monthly tools-based audit once the process framework is established to help the team identify the gaps and enables the fixes.
- Provides forward-looking metrics, analytics and insights along with PSR Report for the engineering team. Enables the team to be data-driven in project execution.
- Establish and roll out the QA Strategy / Plan within project, aligned to project specific process requirements and to the customer specific requirements.
- Support the release of the Tailored MGTL (Maturity Gate Task List).
- Schedule the QA activities in context of project master milestone plan.
- Review quality and compliance of the established and released engineering / supporting Work Products (WP's) by means of PCCs, MGTL, Spot Checks/Sampling Checks (if applicable) and any other audits / assessments that are required by the customer.
- Conduct pre-assessments / coaching with the appropriate process owners to ensure the artifacts are on track, pursuing the ASPICE and IATF assessment preparation (i.e. Mock assessments)
- Ensure SW quality data collection and reporting regularly (e.g. PSR scorecard, QA report, customer quality reporting, etc.)
- Baseline and approve the project pre-aligned configurable items of the Quality Assurance (QA Plan, QA status report, etc.)
- QA information exchange with the customer and other project stakeholders, for the QA related topics.
- Roll out the Project Escalation mechanism and ensure monitoring for de-escalations.
- Support proper execution of audits and assessments (e.g. ASPICE, IATF, customer review / audits, etc.)
- Address audit Findings/Weaknesses and assure relevant action plans.
- Participation in Release Readiness Reviews (RRR & IRRR) and provision of data-driven evaluation.
- Participation in Lesson Learned and Risk reviews.
- Collaboration with other regional quality teams and global teams to ensure alignment and process adherence across the organization.
- Contribute towards organizational process definition/updates.
- Decide on process tailoring following the PM and PMO guidance (including the MGTL, QA plan / Strategy, PSR, and PM&C, etc.).
- Prevent a release of software that does not meet requirements through Release Readiness Review (RRR & IRRR) and risk assessment.
- Approval of tailoring of the Harman BMS standards (i.e. Engineering & Supporting processes) based on customer quality requirements.
- Raise project risks when major/critical gaps are foreseen via quality reviews/checks.
- Raise projects issues or escalations when major/critical problems are identified via quality reviews/checks.
- Driving the QA process implementation within the Project.
- Providing QA status report and summary information to PM and Team 1, as needed.
- Support and/or drive internal and external escalations until resolution of the identified problem.
- ASPICE L2 Compliance
- Driving ASPICE initiatives within the program.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in the field of Software Quality
- Proven record of successful implementation of ASPICE L2 for multiple programs
- Experience with Project Management and familiar with QMS.
- Experience with technical areas (HW, SW, ME, System, etc.).
- Capability to evaluate complex systems.
- Experience in project and quality assurance.
- Knowledge of risk management methodologies.
- Decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Experienced with Software Development Lifecycle and methodologies (e.g. Process models Automotive SPICE).
- Thorough Knowledge and understanding of the Quality Management System (e.g. IATF 16949, ISO 9001, CMMI, etc).
- Strong Communication and moderation skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and a drive for first-time quality.
- B.E. degree with specialization in Computer Science or Electronics and Telecommunication.
- ASPICE Provisional Assessor or well-versed with the standard
- Be willing to work in Harman office, India (hybrid).
- Be willing to travel 10%
