This role is for one of the Weekday's clientsSalary range: Rs 1800000 - Rs 3000000 (ie INR 18 - 30 LPA)Min Experience: 10 yearsLocation: BangaloreJobType: full-timeWe are in search of a results-oriented Head of Procurement & Supply Chain to oversee sourcing, procurement, warehousing, supply chain management, and operational planning. This position requires an individual capable of developing procurement and supply chain systems from scratch, managing supplier networks, and ensuring effective inventory and logistics management as the company grows. This is a critical leadership role with a rapid advancement opportunity to Chief Operating Officer (COO) as the organization scales.The procurement function will aid in sourcing and supplying the following product categories:
 Dry Fruits & Nuts
 Staples – Rice, Atta, Grains, Pulses
 Packaged FoodsRequirementsKey Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement & Sourcing
 Formulate sourcing strategies for dry fruits, staples, and packaged food items.
 Identify and onboard trustworthy suppliers, farmers, traders, and manufacturers.
 Lead negotiations to secure competitive pricing and ensure consistent supply.
 Foster strong vendor partnerships to facilitate business growth.Supply Chain & Warehousing
 Design and oversee effective supply chain operations, including procurement,
warehousing, and distribution.
 Manage inventory planning and stock control across various warehouses.
 Ensure seamless coordination between procurement, warehousing, and logistics
operations.
 Implement systems for inventory management, demand forecasting, and replenishment.Operations & Business Planning
 Collaborate closely with leadership to support business growth initiatives.
 Align procurement and supply chain strategies with sales growth and product demand.
 Track operational costs and promote efficiency improvements.
 Create scalable processes appropriate for a rapidly growing FMCG startup.Vendor & Contract Management
 Assess supplier performance based on cost, quality, reliability, and compliance.
 Lead vendor negotiations, contracts, and long-term sourcing agreements.
 Develop alternative sourcing strategies to mitigate supply risks.Process Development & Systems
 Establish procurement and supply chain processes suitable for an expanding
organization.
 Leverage ERP and procurement tools to monitor procurement, inventory, and vendor
management.
 Build and nurture a procurement and operations team as the organization expands.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
 Cost optimization and procurement efficiency
 Supplier reliability and quality consistency
 Inventory turnover and stock availability
 Supply chain efficiency and operational scalability
 Development of the vendor networkExperience
 7–12 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or operations.
 At least 4 years in procurement with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership position within
FMCG, grocery, food distribution, or food manufacturing.
