Roles & Responsibilities:- Lead and manage daily operations of the manufacturing plant, covering production, maintenance, quality, and logistics.- Achieve production goals while optimizing cost, safety, and quality standards.- Guide, mentor, and inspire the plant team to foster a high-performance culture.- Drive process enhancements through lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices.- Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and sales teams to ensure smooth material flow and product dispatch.- Control operational budgets, including workforce, machinery, and raw materials.- Ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory standards related to labor, environment, and safety.- Focus on preventive maintenance strategies to reduce machinery downtime and enhance reliability.- Track and analyze key performance metrics (OEE, rework, downtime) to implement corrective measures.- Keep all plant records, logs, and documentation updated for audit readiness.- Work closely with cross-functional teams on product innovation and process upgrades.Required Skills:- Proven leadership, decision-making, and analytical thinking abilities.- Strong command over manufacturing operations, quality assurance, and workplace safety standards.- Experience using ERP platforms like SAP or Oracle and production management tools.- Exceptional communication and people management skills.- Ability to respond effectively under pressure or during crisis situations.- Thorough understanding of labor laws, statutory requirements, and compliance protocols- Efficiency of production vs. targets- Plant downtime and equipment uptime.- Product rework and rejection rates.- Cost per unit and total operational expenditure.- Workplace safety and incident frequency.- Workforce productivity and utilization.- Audit compliance scores - both internal and external.If you have any queries, feel free to connect.
