
Tech Manager, Implementation

- Manage the teams' delivery to a successful release by tracking work, dependencies and risks and taking corrective actions as necessary.
- Be accountable for the technical delivery and quality of the team's release by ensuring best quality engineering practices are followed including (but not limited to): writing and running of unit tests, smoke- and regression, code reviews, and design practices
- Be POC for the team and highlight any delivery risks
- Facilitate and support team member's technical and career growth objectives through training, leadership opportunities, challenging work assignments, and focused mentorship.
- Ownership of individual and teams utilization.
- Direct participation and delegation of all recruitment and hiring activities
- Collaboration with R&D, Other implementation teams and Customer support teams
- Proactive and on-going performance management activities including, regular 1:1s for establishing direction and providing corrective and reinforcing feed-back intended to help engineers to define and achieve career objectives
- 12+ years of experience in software development
- Resource management experience, risk management, backup planning and work planning and allocation
- 3+ years leading a high performing development team or software product implementation environment.
- Exposure to onsite / offshore working model.
- Stakeholder management.
- Experience in high performance, highly available and scalable system
- Experience in installation, customization and configuration of complex SaaS hosted software product.
- Familiarity and/or experience with private and public cloud infrastructures and technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Engine or Azure.
- Proficient in Database concepts and hands on experience working on Oracle/ SQL server, Postgres.
- Well aware of Unix / Linux and basic Shell scripting.
- Understanding of standard deployment practices and basic understanding of industry standard tools such as Jenkins, Docker, VMs, Kubernetes, Artifactory
- Professional services experience is plus.
- Compliance / Banking domain knowledge and/or exposure to AML/ IFM / financial market compliance is plus
